When You Inherit an Estate

Hello, my name is Jacob Langston. My father passed away two years ago, and I inherited his entire estate. Dad was a great guy, but he sure did have a lot of stuff. He lived in a large home, and I honestly don’t think he changed a thing since my mother died twelve years before him. I couldn't afford to keep the house, so selling it was one of the first things I had to take care of. I was at a loss for what to do with all the belongings inside. I had to start moving things out in order to get the house ready to sell. Once it sold, I had to move the rest out. I hired a moving and storage company to help with this daunting task, and am I glad I did. Stay tuned as I share this adventure with you!

3 Reasons To Rent An Outdoor Storage Unit

by Stacy Robertson

Renting a storage unit is a great way to remove clutter from your home or garage, or even to have an extra place to keep extra inventory for your business. When choosing a storage unit, you will have to decide between a unit in an indoor facility, or one from an outdoor facility. Three reasons to rent from an outdoor facility are convenience, unit size, and accessibility.

Convenience

An outdoor facility tends to be the more convenient option, mostly because the facility will often allow you to access your property whenever you like. In most cases, you can access the facility to get to your property as long as you have a key or code to get through a security gate.

When renting from an indoor facility, you will only be able to access your unit during the normal business hours of the facility. While this does help make an indoor facility quite secure because people can only access the facility while the staff is present, it can make it really inconvenient for people that happen to work during the hours that the facility is open.

Unit Size

Outdoor storage facilities can provide you with a large number of units of varying size. These facilities can provide you with a unit that will be the size of a linen closet, or they can rent you a unit that can accommodate far more.

For example, an outdoor facility will often have units available that are large enough to accommodate vehicles. This is a great option if you want a secure place to store recreational vehicles, classic cars, or even a boat if you do not have a garage at home. This is a big advantage over indoor facilities that will typically only offer smaller unit sizes.

Accessibility

Finally, a unit in an outdoor facility is much easier to get to than one in an indoor facility. With an outdoor storage unit, you can simply drive your vehicle right up to the door of your unit. This is ideal for loading large items, or a lot of items, to and from your storage unit.

Visit your local storage facility today in order to see the many available unit options that are available to you. An outdoor storage facility like Access Self Storage is ideal if you want a unit that is easy and convenient to access, while also being able to rent a variety of different unit sizes.
